Herbert Hoover Youth Basketball League

New Divisions. More Fun. Better Competition.

We’re excited to introduce a new Kindergarten Division and a separate 1st/2nd Grade Division to the Herbert Hoover Youth Basketball League!

Our league is designed to give players an age-appropriate basketball experience as they grow:

• Kindergarten: Introduction to basketball, fundamentals, confidence, and fun.
• 1st/2nd Grade: Continued skill development with age-appropriate competition and game experience.
• 3rd/4th Grade: Building stronger fundamentals, teamwork, and competitive skills.
• 5th/6th/7th Grade: Continued development and more advanced competition as players prepare for the next level.

By separating Kindergarten and 1st/2nd Grade, we can provide younger players with a better opportunity to learn, compete, build confidence, and develop a love for the game while maintaining a clear path of development through the league.

The Herbert Hoover Youth Basketball League welcomes local businesses, organizations, families, and individuals who would like to sponsor a team. Team sponsorships help provide our players with a positive basketball experience while giving sponsors an opportunity to support youth athletics in our community.
